Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of square one launch (the “Platform”), operated by Square One Ventures (“Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

The Platform provides students with access to career, education and professional development tools and opportunities, including jobs, internships, scholarships, career-related content, resumes, goals, recommendations and other services.

By creating an account, accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not use the Platform.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, store and share your personal information and should be read together with these Terms.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be able to provide the information or authorization required to use the Platform. Where applicable, we may require additional authorization or verification before providing access to certain Platform features.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account and credentials and for activity conducted through your account. You must not impersonate another person, create an account using unauthorized information or permit unauthorized use of your account.

We may verify your identity, student status, university affiliation or other information where appropriate.

2. User Information and Content

You are responsible for the information, documents, prompts, resumes and other content you provide through the Platform (“User Content”) and for ensuring that you have the right to provide and use such content.

You must not knowingly provide false, misleading, unlawful or fraudulent information, including information relating to your identity, education, qualifications, experience, achievements or credentials.

You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a non-exclusive right to host, store, process, reproduce, transmit and otherwise use your User Content to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, provide, secure, develop and improve the Platform and provide services requested by you.

Our collection and processing of personal information contained in User Content is governed by our Privacy Policy.

3. Verification

The Platform may provide functionality to verify a user’s identity, university affiliation, student status or other information.

Verification is intended to support trust and Platform functionality but does not constitute a guarantee, certification or endorsement by the Company of the accuracy, authenticity or completeness of all information provided by a user.

We may reject, restrict or revoke verification where information appears inaccurate, fraudulent or otherwise inconsistent with our requirements.

4. Opportunities and Applications

The Platform may enable you to discover or apply for jobs, internships, other opportunities offered by employers, universities and other third parties.

You are responsible for reviewing opportunities and application materials before applying. The Company does not guarantee the accuracy, availability or suitability of any opportunity, or that use of the Platform will result in an interview, employment, scholarship, selection or other particular outcome.

Third parties receiving applications may apply their own terms, policies and requirements.

5. Resumes and Career Materials

The Platform may provide tools to create, edit or assist with resumes and other career materials using information provided by you.

You are responsible for reviewing and verifying your final resume and application materials before using or submitting them, including the accuracy of qualifications, experience, dates, achievements and other information contained in them.

The Company does not guarantee that a resume or other career material created or assisted through the Platform will result in any particular career or application outcome.

6. AI and Automated Features

The Platform may use artificial intelligence, algorithms and other automated technologies to provide features including resumes, goals, recommendations, matching, personalization and other outputs.

AI-generated or AI-assisted content may contain errors, inaccuracies, omissions or unsuitable information. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying such content before relying on, using or submitting it.

Recommendations, matches and other automated outputs are provided as assistive tools and do not guarantee accuracy, eligibility, suitability or any particular outcome.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company is not responsible for errors in, or decisions or outcomes resulting from reliance on, AI-generated or automated content.

Information processing associated with AI features is addressed in our Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable Use

You may use the Platform only for lawful and authorized purposes.

You must not misuse the Platform, including by:

• Providing fraudulent or intentionally misleading information;
• Impersonating another person or misrepresenting your identity or qualifications;
• Accessing or attempting to access accounts, information or systems without authorization;
• Introducing malicious software or harmful code;
• Scraping, extracting or systematically collecting Platform information without authorization;
• Using the Platform to harass, deceive, defraud or harm another person;
• Uploading content that infringes another person’s rights; or
• Using the Platform in violation of applicable law.

We may investigate suspected misuse and take appropriate action.

8. Third-Party Content and Services

The Platform may contain information, opportunities, content, links or services provided by employers, universities, technology providers and other third parties.

We do not control or endorse all third-party content and do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, availability or reliability.

Your use of independent third-party websites or services may be governed by that third party’s own terms and policies.

The Platform may also depend on third-party technology and infrastructure. Interruptions, changes or failures affecting such services may affect Platform functionality.

9. Intellectual Property

The Platform, including its software, design, branding, interfaces, technology and other materials provided by the Company, is owned by or licensed to Square One Ventures and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Platform for its intended purposes.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of the Platform or our intellectual property to you.

10. Platform Availability and Changes

We may modify, update, add, restrict or discontinue Platform features or functionality from time to time.

We do not guarantee that the Platform or any particular feature will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device or system.

We may perform maintenance or temporarily restrict access where reasonably necessary for operational, security or other legitimate purposes.

11. Suspension and Termination

We may restrict, suspend or terminate access to the Platform where we reasonably believe that a user has violated these Terms, provided fraudulent information, created a security risk, misused the Platform, violated applicable law or where restriction is otherwise reasonably necessary to protect the Platform or its users.

You may stop using the Platform or request account deletion in accordance with the functionality and procedures described in our Privacy Policy.

12. Disclaimers

The Platform and its features are provided on an “as available” basis to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

We do not guarantee that Platform content, opportunities, recommendations, matches, AI-generated content or information provided by third parties will always be accurate, complete, current or suitable for a particular purpose.

The Platform provides tools to assist users with career and professional development but does not guarantee employment, interviews, scholarships, academic outcomes, career advancement or any other result.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Square One Ventures will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Platform.

This includes, to the extent permitted by applicable law, losses arising from reliance on Platform content, AI-generated content, recommendations, third-party opportunities or services, application or selection decisions, service interruptions, unauthorized third-party activity or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that we are legally required to accept.

14. Privacy

Our collection, use, processing, storage, disclosure and retention of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have been provided access to the Privacy Policy.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the Platform, our services, business practices or applicable requirements. The updated Terms will indicate the date of the latest revision.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of Pakistan.

17. General Terms

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

Our failure to enforce a provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations relating to the Platform as part of a restructuring, merger, acquisition, financing, sale or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.
